Minelab SDC 2300 and GPZ 7000 Strike Gold

Our staff in Miners Den Brisbane had the recent privIledge to see a couple of amazing pieces of gold found in Queensland.

Using the Minelab SDC 2300 metal detector and Minelab GPZ 7000 metal detector our customer was able to find a couple of great pieces.

The smaller nugget, 4.5oz was found with the SDC 2300

Minelab’s SDC 2300 metal detector is one of our biggest selling gold prospecting detectors.

It handles the mineralized ground in the goldfields fantastically (greatly reducing ground noise) – it does not penetrate into the ground as far on large gold nuggets as the GPX series, or the GPZ7000 - but is brilliant on small gold nuggets – and very few ad...

I had been using a VLF machine for some time and had found no gold, only lead from bullets and some rusted iron. I was really struggling with the VLF’s inability to distinguish between hot mineralised ground and an authentic target, and was building up one Popeye-like arm from constant fruitless digging.

After watching the SDC 2300 videos and finds ...

A customer recently came into the Miners Den Bendigo store to show us some beautiful gold nuggets he had found with his Minelab GPX 5000 metal detector. On the GPX 5000 he was running a Nugget Finder 12" x 7" coil.

The largest piece was found at a depth of about 5 inches and the smaller ones were found about an inch down.

“I detected over a thrashed patch for about 2 ½ hours, digging numerous targets that had been missed by previous detector operators. Six of these targets being gold, weighing all up 1.5 grams. Two of the gold targets were quart specimens which may lead me to a quartes leader but I’ll save that for another time when I get time to investigate this fu...

The area we chose to try out our new Minelab SDC 2300 detector in the W.A. goldfields was freshly chained when we first detected it three years ago. The chain man left about sixty small pieces for us at that stage. We recovered a few more pieces the following year, and just four more this winter. It was covered with hot rocks, both large and small....

I was lucky enough to have a swing of Minelab’s new SDC 2300 gold detector, to put it through its paces and see what it is capable of. In simple terms it does as Minelab claim, and I had no trouble locating tiny targets including gold in well worked patches, even on minimum sensitivity. Ground noise is virtually non-existent, and if you do come a...
