Likely Prospects Trentham-Blackwood Prospecting Guide

This is a variation on a detecting guide as the area has many other opportunities. The district for the most part is very rough, steep and wet. Although these fields are close to Melbourne, the country must be taken seriously and should be left alone if you do not have bush experience. There is additional historic input from Mr Bill Morris and Mr Herbert Cann. Between them they represent over 150 years of practical experience. It is evident that for experienced and determined prospectors there are opportunities in these areas.

Both Bill and Herb insist that many areas have never been properly prospected. This guide builds on the old Mines Department Bulletin 18 and has 9 maps and accompanying notes.

This district has resulted in the most feedback about result.
