Whether you are upgrading to a new detector, changing models or have finished your prospecting adventures, our experienced team can help prepare and advertise your detector for sale.

Your detector can be listed through the Miners Den website, giving it exposure to a large and highly relevant audience of metal detecting and gold prospecting customers.

Any remaining manufacturer warranty is subject to the original manufacturer’s warranty conditions, proof-of-purchase requirements and transferability rules.

 

How It Works

 

Contact the Miners Den Bendigo store and bring in or arrange delivery of your metal detector, along with its standard accessories.

Additional accessories such as search coils, headphones, speakers, control-box covers, battery systems and other items can also be included in the inspection and sales listing. We will advise you if any supplied item appears damaged, unsafe or unsuitable for resale.

Our team will conduct an operational inspection of the detector and prepare a report for the owner. Where maintenance, replacement parts or corrective work may be required, we will discuss the available options and provide an estimate before any additional work is undertaken.

Once the inspection has been completed, the detector will be cleaned and prepared for presentation. We will also provide an estimated selling-price range based on the detector’s model, age, condition, included accessories and current second-hand market.

Detectors that have been significantly modified, tampered with or altered from their standard configuration may not be accepted for inspection, warranty or resale through this service.

 

Selling Your Detector

 

After the inspection and preparation process has been completed, eligible detectors can be listed on the Miners Den Second-Hand Metal Detectors page.

Each listing can include:

  • The detector’s condition

  • The results of our operational inspection

  • Included coils and accessories

  • Any known faults, damage or cosmetic wear

  • Relevant repair or maintenance information

  • Available warranty information

  • Shipping or collection options

Sellers benefit from Miners Den’s specialist website traffic, secure payment facilities, customer support and Australia-wide shipping capabilities.

Buyers can purchase with greater confidence knowing the detector has been physically inspected, operationally tested and accurately described by the Miners Den team.

The inspection confirms the detector’s condition and operation at the time it is tested. It is not a manufacturer certification and does not mean the detector has been certified as meeting factory specifications.

Once you have selected your asking price, the Miners Den Bendigo team can prepare the listing and begin advertising the detector.

 

Fees

 

Inspection and preparation fee: $199

Sale commission: 8% of the final selling price

Additional repair work, replacement parts, freight or optional services are not included in the standard inspection fee and will be quoted separately where required.

 

Eligible Detectors

 

This service is available for selected Minelab, Nokta and AlgoForce metal detectors.

Acceptance will depend on the model, age, physical condition, availability of accessories and our ability to inspect and support the detector appropriately.

Please contact us before delivering or sending your detector to confirm whether your particular model is eligible.
