The Garrett 14-inch Sifter/Classifier separates larger rocks and debris from your sample before panning. It helps reduce the amount of coarse material in the pan, making the remaining gravel and sediment easier to work through.

Prepare your material

Place the classifier over a suitable bucket and sift your sample so smaller material passes through the openings. It can be used with wet or dry material. Classification sorts by size; you still need to pan the finer material to separate gold from lighter sediment.

Size and bucket fit

• 14-inch classifier size, approximately 35.6 cm
• 7/16-inch square openings, approximately 11.1 mm
• Designed to fit over a 5 US gallon bucket, approximately 19 litres
• Suitable for wet or dry sifting

Bucket rim sizes vary, so check the fit of your own bucket rather than relying on its stated litre capacity alone.

What is included?

One Garrett 14-inch Sifter/Classifier. Bucket and gold pan are sold separately. It is also included in the standard Garrett kit and Deluxe kit.

Inspect the larger material left in the classifier before discarding it, as nuggets or gold-bearing pieces can also be retained above the openings.
