Process gold-bearing gravel using natural creek or river flow with the Walco 8-inch Modular River Sluice. Its aluminium construction and removable intake flare make it practical to transport, set up and clean out.

Miners moss and expanded mesh

The recovery bed combines miners moss with expanded aluminium mesh. The matting provides spaces for gold and other heavy material to settle while flowing water carries lighter material through the channel.

Separate sections for transport

The flare separates from the main sluice section for storage and carrying. Assembled, the unit is approximately 127cm long. The intake flare helps direct water into the recovery channel.

Set up for the flow available

Position the sluice securely with even water flow through the channel. Adjust its angle and feed material gradually to suit the conditions. Recovery depends on setup, flow and feed material.

Clean up at the end of the session

Dismantle the sluice and remove the miners moss carefully, collecting the concentrates for further processing in a gold pan.
